Before The Medal, There's A Story: KZN's Comrades Send-Off

It's Comrades race week.

The send-offs have happened, the shake-out runs are loading, race bags are packed, and across KZN and the world, colleagues, families, friends and businesses are rallying behind the runners in their lives.

Today we heard the stories behind the race numbers.
From runners chasing a lifelong dream, to personal challenges and setbacks to get to the start line. We also heard from supporters sharing messages of encouragement for the people they'll be cheering on this Sunday.

This podcast is a celebration of the Comrades spirit the runners, the supporters, the family members who sacrifice alongside them, the seconders waiting on route, and the volunteers who help make race day possible.

Whether you're running this year, supporting from the sidelines, or dreaming of one day standing on that start line yourself, this conversation is proof that every Comrades journey begins with a story.

And who knows? One day, that story could be yours.
