IEC rejects ANC claims of technical glitch over candidate submissions

The IEC has rejected calls to give the ANC more time to capture candidates for the November 4 local government elections, saying the deadline for nominations passed at 5pm on Friday. This follows the ANC’s claim that technical problems with the IEC’s online system affected a small number of its submissions. Phemelo speaks to IEC General Manager for Communications Fikile Moya.
