BASA member, the Wits School of Arts, is home to the Arts Research Africa project. Funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, Arts Research Africa offers of a range of activities, from artist residencies and seminars, to symposia, online publishing, bursaries and grants. The purpose of these activities is to spark dialogue, stimulate practice, enable research and inspire collective engagement in developing artistic research in the African university.
Arts Research Africa has invited all Wits School of Arts Masters and Doctoral students across all 9 departments to share their research and network at a Showcase evening - powered by PechaKucha – at the Wits Downstairs Theatre this Saturday 4 May.
