As we head into the festive season, many of us will be less vigilant as we focus on unwinding and spending time with our loved ones. Unfortunately, scammers know this, and use this window of opportunity to line their pockets with our hard-earned money. Over the next few weeks you may hear sad stories about people who have lost money to con artists through identity theft, phishing, fake online shopping sites and loan scams. Fortunately, there are a few things you can do to make sure that you don’t fall prey to these scams.
