Carol Ofori was at a coffee shop in Umdloti on Saturday morning and noticed a child floating in the water out at sea. Every time a wave came it would wash the child under and then he would float again. The next thing the manager of the coffee shop, Jaco, ripped his clothes off and ran across the road and into the ocean. Three other guys did the same thing. A business owner, David McClenaghan and his friend Dax were first to reach the child. They managed to get the little boy back to shore where he was resuscitated and taken to hospital. According to the Dave and Dax, if they had been 20 seconds later, the story would not have had a happy ending.
