It took a worldwide pandemic for many people to realise how important nurses are.

Nurses are the backbone of the medical industry and we don't even want to imagine what the world would be like without them.

On #InternationaNursesDay, J Sbu, whose own mother is a nurse, spoke to Nondumiso Zuma, who is a registered nurse working in the Intensive Care Unit.

Take a listen as she tells the story of how she went from caring for her sick grandmother to becoming a nurse, and how she is able to wake up and face the challenges of this pandemic every single day.
