Have Kaizer Chiefs turned a corner?
--:--
Kaizer Chiefs finally picked up another victory this week, beating Sekhukhune FC 2-1 in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Wednesday.
Amakhosi have been playing quite well under head coach Molefi Ntseki, without picking up results, though this has not stopped fans from pelting Ntseki with missiles at certain matches.
There was no such hooliganism in Durban, however, as Chiefs staged a second half fightback, that could just be the result they need to spark their season into life.
In this week's Ballz to the Wall Podcast, Phakaaathi editor Jonty Mark, along with Phakaaathi football writers Sibongiseni Gumbi and Tshepo Ntsoelengoe, take a look at Chiefs' performance against Sekhukhune, as well as analysing what the appointment of Cavin Johnson as head of the Chiefs academy means for Ntseki's future, if anything at all.
We also discuss Mamelodi Sundowns, or should that be 'record-breaking Mamelodi Sundowns', who broke Chiefs' record of consecutive matches without defeat on Wednesday, making it 32 games without tasting a DStv Premiership loss, when they took down Stellenbosch FC on Wednesday.
Will Sundowns lose a game this season. Heck, will they even draw a game?
And we also look ahead to Orlando Pirates and their Caf Champions League group stage qualifier on Friday night against Jwaneng Galaxy. The pressure is on the Buccaneers, who are trailing 1-0 from the first leg, and could do without the embarrassment of not even reaching the Champions League group stages.
