The Toyota Cheetahs captain Chucky van der Westhuizen has welcomed the timely return of the flanker Gideon van der Merwe.
Van der Merwe is set to make his return on the weekend in the SA Cup game against the Suzuki Griquas in Kimberley after six months on the sidelines.
The invaluable loose-forward is fit and fully recovered from an ankle fracture and is poised for a return against this former team.
His work at the breakdown has been missed, and Van der Westhuizen, told OFM Sport that there is even more to Van der Merwe.
