Drive Moment - Compassion Or Caution, Which One Guides You More When Dealing With Strangers?

We’re living in a time where being kind can sometimes feel risky. You see
someone stranded with a flat tyre, instead of jumping in to help, you hesitate,
not because you don’t care but because you’re thinking, “what if this is a
setup?” That fear isn’t coming from nowhere, recent crime trends in South Africa show that while some violent crimes have slightly decreased by around 6.7% in early 2026, serious issues like organised and commercial crime are actually growing fast.

Maybe you lead with compassion because you’ve been in a situation where a
stranger stepped in during your time of need. Or maybe you’re more cautious
because you or someone close to you once got scammed while trying to help,
we all have stories.
