John Mathane slams Gayton McKenzie over lack of support for South African athletics

The acting president of Athletics South Africa (ASA), John Mathane, has accused the Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Gayton McKenzie, of undermining the governing body while also failing to adequately support athletics in South Africa.
Mathane said he was stunned when World Athletics contacted ASA to enquire about a potential bid that the governing body knew nothing about.
