Top North West performer

Carel Coetzee from Potchefstroom Gimnasium has been announced top North West matric performer. He was honoured during a ceremony in Rustenburg this morning. Thelma Botha from Klerksdorp Hoërskool came in second followed by Victor Asiwe, from Hoërskool Ferdinand Postma in Potchefstroom. Coetzee achieved distinctions in all seven his subjects, with percentages between 91% and 98%. OFM News' Dane Beisheim reports Education MEC Wendy Matsemela was pleased with the province's pass rate.
