Nkandla saga putting pressure on the Rand: economist

An economist says the latest developments in the Nkandla saga are putting the Rand under further pressure. Last night the Presidency issued the statement saying that President Jacob Zuma would pay back some of the money spent on upgrades to his Nkandla home. This nearly two years after Public Protector Thuli Madonsela made a recommendation that he reimburse the state. The move also comes ahead of a legal battle in the Constitutional Court next week between Zuma, the EFF and DA over the Nkandla saga.
