New US president, Donald Trump has vowed to serve as a leader for “all Americans” and called for the country to “bind the wounds of division” after a contentious presidential campaign. The Republican nominee has become the 45th US president after a stunning victory over Democrat Hillary Clinton. Trump's win came down to a handful of key swing states, despite months of polling that favoured Clinton. The battlegrounds of Florida, Ohio and North Carolina cleared the way for his upset win. During his victory speech, Trump said he would seek common ground, not hostility with all people and nations.
