The police in the North West have launched an extensive manhunt for suspects after a police constable, his wife, and their two children were shot dead in their home on Tuesday night.

Police spokesperson, Sabata Mokgwabone, says an unconfirmed number of suspects gained entrance into the family's home in Mmakau village at around 23:00, and allegedly shot the 41-year-old constable, his 40-year-old wife and their two children aged three and 22. The motive for the murders is unknown.
