Extra Time - Rory Duncan Mission European Cup

The Toyota Cheetahs have set their sights on competing in the lucrative European Cup in the not too distant future.

The team from Bloemfontein reached the play-offs of the Guinness Pro14 in their debut season and staked a serious claim at playing in the world’s richest rugby competition.

Due to the Cheetahs being ineligible to play in the old Heineken Cup, the Cardiff Blues claimed a spot in the competition.

The out-going Cheetahs coach, Rory Duncan, told OFM Sport that playing in the top-tier European tournament will benefit the franchise greatly financially.

The remaining Pro14 squad enjoy a month-long breather before reassembling on 11 June.
