Several hundred people have spent the night outdoors - praying for Jacob Zuma. The National Interfaith Council of South Africa hosted a night vigil at Albert Park yesterday, in the lead up to today: Zuma’s second appearance before a judge - since 16 charges - amongst them, fraud & corruption - were reinstated against him earlier this year. The council hosted another night vigil before Zuma’s first appearance in April. As Newswatch’s Bernadette Wolhuter reports, a good few hundred people turned up to voice their support for the former president - despite the Winter chill.
