The 2018 FIFA World Cup is in full swing with almost half of the second round matches having been completed, and the global showpiece is turning out to be very interesting indeed.
Following their 3-0 loss to Croatia last night, Argentina, on in real danger of becoming the first major casualty in Russia, and not advancing to the second round.
France in their turn, who have the youngest squad at the World Cup are looking like they could be real title contenders and are smiling after already advancing to the round of 16.
This evening, it’s Serbia against Switzerland in Kaliningrad, and this could be one cracking match.
Going into today fixtures, the Serbians top Group E following their 1-0 win over Costa Rica.
Switzerland in their turn played to a 1-1 draw against the five-time champions, Brazil.
A win this evening will assure Serbia of spot in the next round to join Russia, Uruguay, France and Croatia, but they Swiss are tricky customers and favourites to win.
The Swiss goalkeeper, Yann Somer, who was a star during the draw to the Samba Boys says they didn’t need that result to feel confident in the tournament.
