Team Rise founder Earl Mentor unpacks how gangsterism impacts youth

Over the past few weeks one issue that has been making continuous headlines, is that of gang-related murders in Cape Town. Although South Africa is accustomed to hearing these stories coming from the Mother City, there is also an innumerable amount of talented and enthusiastic youth striving toward a better life. To unpack how gangsterism affects our youth- everywhere from the infants on our arms to our 35-year-old men who have made a living through criminality- Real Talk spoke to reformed gangster, trainer, coach, peacebuilder and writer Earl Mentor. Mentor also founded a Life Coaching company called Team Rise and has been initiating personal and social empowerment programmes for the past 18 years.
