LISTEN: 'My teens best friend told me that they smoked weed during their sleepover'

As a parent, when your kid goes to a sleepover at their best friend's house, you expect the parents of the friend to supervise over the kids, right? Stacey Norman shared a story regarding her best friend's daughter, who went on a sleepover last weekend at her long-time friend's house. The two teenagers have been friends for years and the parents are also close with one another.

The sleepover was like any other that the girls had, however, it seems that something inappropriate may have taken place whilst the two teen girls were having their sleepover.

Stacey shared how her best friend received a call from her daughter's best friend the day after the sleepover. The teenager shared that the two girls had done something really bad and that she was ashamed. They had smoked marijuana in her room whilst her parents were sleeping. As upset as Stacey's best friend was at hearing this, she was conflicted on who to confront first between her own daughter or the parents of the best friend of her teen. At first she acknowledged the bravery of her daughter's best friend for having the courage to own up to what they had done.

If you as a parent received a call from your teenager's best friend, telling you that they had smoked some marijuana during a sleepover at their house, would you discipline your child or have words with the parents of your teen's best friend?
