The OFM Business Hour’s Olebogeng Motse talks to Springbok Route ambassador Kefiloe Molefe-Mofokeng about the Route.

The Springbok Route is one of five Free State routes that are named after popular South African animals and birds, offering a range of attractions that will make your holiday memorable…

The Springbok Route, which connects the Free State with the Northern Cape, includes Jacobsdal, Koffiefontein, Jagersfontein, Bethulie, Gariep Dam and Philippolis. Jacobsdal is part of the Diamond and Wine Route. Diamonds were discovered in the area in 1867, while grapes have been grown there since 1972. Experience the wines of the region at the Landzicht and Wilreza wine cellars in Jacobsdal. Gariep Dam is home to the province’s largest nature reserve, Gariep Dam Nature Reserve. There are also many holiday resorts and activities in the area to entice you to book a holiday there.

Discover the Free State is made possible by the Free State Gambling, Liquor and Tourism Authority.
